Data update as at 31 August 2024

Online on OpenCoesione is the bi-monthly update with data related to the implementation of European and national cohesion policy as of 31st August 2024.

More than 2 million projects have been observed with reference to different European and national programming periods, with a monitored public cost of € 277,5 billion, while payments recorded at the end of the third two-month period of the current year amount to € 164,7  billion. As regards the costs directly incurred by cohesion policies (the 'cohesion cost'), it amounts to € 224,9 billion, with payments totaling € 145,8 billion.

This update of the portal also sees a data adjustment that takes into account the closure rules for the Structural Funds of the 2014-2020 period. Among the programmes of the 2014-2020 period, monitored for the first time is the POC MARCHE, with a total of 493 projects, worth EUR 6.5 million.

The publication of data relateding to the 2021-2027 period, in particular concerningin relation to European funds, is awaiting the full operational status of the new Nnational Mmonitoring Ssystem. At the moment, only the projectsinterventions financed through the prefinancementadvances of the 2021-2027 Development and Cohesion Fund for Development and Cohesion 2021-2027 are present as they are monitored in the current version of the National Monitoring System.
