Data update at 31st December 2020

On OpenCoesione portal are published the data updated at 31st December 2020 related to the implementation of cohesion policy operations referring to the 2007-2013 and 2014-2020 programming periods. The total public amount of the operations visible on the portal is 186,2 billion of Euro. The total amount of the payments disbursed is 95,8 billion of Euro.

As of 31st December 2020 there are 1.665.693 projects available in the National Monitoring System and thus published on OpenCoesione, which makes around 41 thousand more in comparison to the previous bimester.

In addition, more than n.300 Plans and Programmes are being monitored, some of which available for the very first time on OpenCoesione portal, representing the ongoing projects and all relating specifically to the programming period 2014-2020.

More in detail these concern as follows:
- Methanisation of Southern Italy, financed in the framework of the Development and Cohesion Fund, with 60 million euros of monitored public cost and 29 projects;
- Operations related to services in the Puglia Region internal areas strategy, financed with ordinary resources, for an amount of 1.5 million euros (monitored) and 11 projects.

As far as the investment sectors, cohesion policy funds are mainly allocated - for about 54% of the monitored public cost finances interventions relating to infrastructures (for over 99.9 billion euros), while 25% finances the acquisition of goods and services (for a total of 47.3 billion euros).. This figure varies slightly if we look only at the current programming period (2014-2020), where infrastructures add up 52% of financing and the purchase of goods and services 24%.
