- Data Cards: a selection of projects dedicated to specific issues or events for the purpose of highlighting the contribution made by cohesion policies, while promoting the initiatives financed and related content in a clear manner supported by charts and figures.


Data Card - Cohesion policy projects in support of victims of violence against women

In conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which is celebrated on 25 November, the selection of projects to combat violence against women that are being financed by way of cohesion policies and have been published on the portal is being updated.


Data Card - Festa dell'Albero

In Italy, 21 November is National Tree Day (Festa dell’Albero), established by law in 2013 to celebrate the importance of trees and forests.

To celebrate trees, OpenCoesione has chosen to publish a new Data Card.

Data Card - World Teachers’ Day

World Teachers’ Day is a day to remember the crucial role teachers play in society and to recognise all those who impart knowledge and creativity to others each and every day.

The OpenCoesione data card published for World Teachers’ Day is intended as a particular recognition of the role of teachers who, beginning with the 2013-2014 school year, have participated in the innovative educational project known as At the School of OpenCohesion (ASOC).


Data Card - European Mobility Week 2019

Safe walking and cycling is the theme of European Mobility Week 2019, an initiative that the European Union has been promoting since 2002 in order to support sustainable mobility.

In line with this proposed focus, data published on the OpenCoesione portal (updated as at 30 June 2019) has been used as the basis to select projects related to bike routes that have been financed with both Italian and European funding.


Data Card - Universiade 2019

The 30th Summer Universiade, also known as the World University Games and open to university students from around the world, competing in 18 different sports disciplines, begins today in Naples, Italy


Data Card - Corsa Rosa della Coesione

Running alongside the 2019 Giro d’Italia from the start in Bologna today to the arrival in Verona on 2 June, a total of 70 projects executed with cohesion funding in 12 regions have been selected, for a total cost of some €67 million.


Data Card - National Day of the Seas on 11 April

For Italy’s National Day of the Seas on 11 April to promote marine awareness and a culture of protecting the sea, OpenCoesione is highlighting a number of projects funded by cohesion policy that take a somewhat different look at the sea.


Data Card - Italy’s National Day of Commemoration and Commitment for the innocent victims of organised crime

The first day of spring, 21 March, is also the date on which to celebrate Italy’s National Day of Commemoration and Commitment for the innocent victims of organised crime, which has been promoted, since 1996, by Libera in collaboration with numerous non-profit organisations and has since been officially recognised by way of Italian Law no. 20/2017.


Brief no. 40 -Transparency in the implementation of European cohesion policies: results of the studies via the online

For Open Government Week, OpenCoesione has published new data from the Survey of the transparency of European Structural Funds. The study, based on a survey of websites and website portals, explored the various approaches to publishing lists of beneficiaries and of operations financed throughout Europe with the help of European Structural Funds and related national co-financing.


Museum week and Cohesion Policy

Museum Week, an initiative of Italy’s Ministry of Culture featuring free access to all museums and public sites in Italy, is being held this 5-10 March.

OpenCoesione will be helping to promote this initiative with a data card on the projects concerning museums that have been financed within the scope of cohesion policies.
