Data update as at 31 October 2024
Online on OpenCoesione the bimonthly update with data on the implementation of European and national cohesion policy as of 31 October 2024.
There are more than 2 million (2,015,953) projects observed with reference to different European and national programming cycles, for a monitored public cost of €281.2 billion, approximately €4 billion more than in the previous two months, while payments recorded at the end of the fifth two-month period of the current year amount to €167.2 billion. As regards the costs directly incurred by cohesion policies (the ‘cohesion cost’), it stands at EUR 228.9 billion, with payments of EUR 148.5 billion.
This portal update also sees an adjustment of the data to take into account the closure rules for the Structural Funds in the 2014-2020 cycle.
Among the programmes of the 2014-2020 cycle, the following are monitored for the first time:
- SNAI CONTRASTO INCENDI BOSCHIVI (4 projects, EUR 2.2 million)
- POC TUSCANY (1 project, 1.3 million euro)
- POC PA TRENTO (47 projects, 10.8 million euro).
With this release, the data in the new section dedicated to the Intelligent Specialisation Strategy are also updated to 31 October.
The publication of data related to the 2021-2027 period, in particular concerning relation to European funds, is awaiting the full operational status of the new National Monitoring System. At the moment, only the project interventions financed through the prefinancement advances of the 2021-2027 Development and Cohesion Fund for Development and Cohesion 2021-2027 are present as they are monitored in the current version of the National Monitoring System.
