Update of data as of 29th February 2024

Online on OpenCoesione the bimonthly update with the data relating to the implementation of the European and national cohesion policy as of 29th February 2024

On the portal are monitored almost 2 million projects of the different programming periods related both to European and national cohesion funds, for a monitored public cost of 275,6 billion of euro. Among these, payments recorded at the end of the first two months of the current year amounted to 158.0 billion euros. As regards the costs incurred directly by cohesion policies (the "cohesion cost"), it amounts to 222.9 billion euros, while the payments amount to 140.4 billion euros.

In this context there are more than 1 million of projects relating to the 2014-2020 Structural Funds projects for which the date of 31 December 2023 marks the deadline for the payments on individual projects. 

In the current and in the upcoming semester the data will therefore see a progressive update taking into account the closing period and the usual adjustments of the data specific to the final phase of each EU programming period.
