15/07/2023

Video stories on OpenCoesione represent a new format launched on the occasion of the restyling of the portal that is online from 17th July, with the publication of the story of the Sardinia Radio Telescope, one of the most technologically advanced radio telescopes in the world, whose expansion was financed with 18 million euros from cohesion policy.

The objective of the video-stories is to narrate, with support of multimedia, the cohesion policies and how they intervene in the territories, focusing the spotlight every month on a project selected with attention to the variety of themes and types of funded interventions.

The format is aimed at everyone and mainly at the younger audience, thanks to a simple language and a rapid-impact audiovisual assembly.

The video contributions, data and information at the center of the video stories are carefully prepared also thanks to the collaboration of the national network of INFORM Italy communicators and the Managing Authorities responsible for Plans and Programmes.

In the first episode dedicated to the Sardinia Radio Telescope, the emphasis is placed on funding that made possible to equip the infrastructure with new instruments capable of making important progress in the exploration of deep space, supporting the development of the territory of inland Sardinia with particular geo-physical characteristics where is the base of the Institute of Astrophysics. The video story also focuses on other important interventions aimed at strengthening human capital through the training of highly qualified personnel with the raising skills of many resident workers as well. A testimony of how cohesion policies contribute significantly to the development of the territory.
